Yacht paint/refit sailing yacht FF95
Nice again for cruising and racing
FF95 - that stands for "Fast & Fun" and 9.50 metres in length. Hardly any other boat series implements the philosophy of the classic cruiser-racer as skilfully as the Dutch FF boats. But the 91 model, which was trailered to heller Lackiererei GmbH's premises near Berlin for a yacht paint job at the end of 2015, no longer looked like great leisure fun and regatta silver. However, that was soon to change.

Unsightly and faded gelcoat? Time for a yacht paint job at heller Lackiererei GmbH
Before the yacht was painted, the entire ship had to be sanded and primed
Firstly, the entire boat, including the underwater hull, was sanded. Numerous holes had to be filled with EP resin, chipping and cracks milled out and re-laminated. The ageing anti-slip coating also had to be completely removed. Only then could the yacht be primed from bow to stern and the primer sanded.
The upper deck and mast were then painted in Snow White and the hull in Blue Metallic and coated with clear varnish. All the anti-slip surfaces were renewed in accordance with the shipyard's specifications. The waterline had to be re-measured, levelled and finally repainted. Sealing the teak surfaces with Sikaflex and a new anti-fouling coating made the boat weatherproof and seawater-resistant again. Even the aluminium trailer was completely refurbished: dismantled, blasted, primed, painted white and then professionally reassembled. After all, the overall impression of the yacht should also be right on the road.
In addition to the hull, the deck and mast were also painted and the underwater hull coated with antifouling
Fit again for big trips and regattas after the yacht refit
