Yacht painting and yacht transport Hanse 470e
Hanse 470e - from Brandenburg to the Adriatic
She is at home on the high seas. Her home port is the Adriatic. But before she can set sail there, the Hanse 470e "Sufojati" visited Brandenburg to receive a new yacht paint job at heller Lackiererei GmbH. Only a few paint shops have the infrastructure and expertise required to paint a ship with a hull length of 14.19 metres and a width of 4.46 metres. The job, which involved painting the entire hull including the underwater hull, was completed in just one month.
Stained, partially yellowed gelcoat had made painting the proud yacht unavoidable. The antifouling coating, which in the past had only been applied one layer after another year after year, was also in urgent need of a complete renewal. The entire ship, with the exception of the upper deck, was therefore sanded, primed and sanded again. The hull was then spray-painted in the colour grey uni according to the customer's wishes. The decorative strips characteristic of a Hanse yacht had previously been removed using a stencil and were then repainted in metallic silver. A fresh coat of antifouling will ensure that the underwater hull is protected from fouling in future.
Part of the project was the transfer of the yacht from Rostock to Niederlehme in Brandenburg for painting and the yacht transport of the finished painted ship to the Slovenian Adriatic port of Koper, where the Hanse 470e arrived on the morning of 12 May. Both transfers were carried out using tractor units and heller Lackiererei GmbH's own air-suspended yacht trailer. The service package also included the organisation of all special permits and the escort of the heavy transport across Europe.
